Bayside // Maple linear segments flow together - integrating a farm-style sink and beautiful Kohler fixtures - to create a beautiful, usable surface for this bay-side kitchen in Chesapeake Beach, MD.

This re:cover project was recently installed in a house in Chesapeake Beach, MD as a part of a larger renovation project. Fabricated from segmented Maple stock, these countertops integrate a white, farm-style sink and Kohler fixtures.  What began as a 12' and an 8' unfinished countertop was cut to length, machined, sanded, buffed, and finished with eight coats of wipe-on polyurethane to ensure a sealed and durable top. A butcher block was fabricated from the remaining material, sanded to 220-grit, padded, and finished with a food safe mineral oil. Once the backsplash is installed and the kitchen is finished, these maple countertops will add just the right amount of character to the space.

As with all Re:store projects, we want to inform you of recycled content. This project is an example of when new stock fits into our business model. These countertops were fabricated from new maple butcher block.
